Features

Multimedia and interactive App for learning German as a foreign/second language. The app is designed especially for children, who are not necessarily able to read and write. Sounds and letters in the second language just don’t make sense to preschoolers. Still, the app will support the young German learners in identifying speech sounds and learning how they could relate to letters and words later on.

We developed an app with special focus to this group to help them learn the language even before they master reading and writing in any language.

It is important to raise awairness about the difference between letters and sounds and play with different sounds

The first stage of learning the second language is to have translations of the words, children already speak in their mother tongues.

Support in guessing the words based on context. By looking at the picture, kids will be able to come up with a word that don't have in their memory bank.

Strategy 4

Learning the basic grammar rules through games with incentives and rewards is very important to reinforce the child's language knowledge in the language, which is not spoken at home.

The games encourage accurate first guesses based on better sampling techniques, greater control over language structure, broadened experiences and increased conceptual development.
